Need Handgun Training? Front Sight's the Place to Be

Handgun training is misunderstood in America today. It's a sad thing when one tries to discuss handgun training and all one receives back are blank stares and slightly uncomfortable body shifts. Front Sight Firearms Training Institute understands this. Front Sight understands that in today's world, guns are as scary as they seem to be because so few people are familiar with them, so few people have received actual gun training.

But Front Sight's founder and director, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, encourages people to realize what America would be like if Americans would get over their irrational fear of guns and receive handgun training. In fact, Dr. Piazza, a former California chiropractor, encourages all Americans to receive not only handgun training, but also shotgun training and rifle training - all of which are merely different forms of self defense training.

For while bodies, fists, arms and legs could be frightening, many people receive some sort of self defense training that shows them that those things which could be used for harm are actually not frightening. Dr. Piazza holds that handguns, ammo and firearms could be the same way: get firearms training and these things aren't frightening. A child who receives handgun training will respect a handgun, never play with it, and therefore never be the victim of an accidental handgun death.

Dr. Piazza encourages all Americans to realize that firearms are not scary - the murderers who use them to their own, twisted, demented ends are scary. Dr. Piazza is convinced that while America may be gripped by terror at the very thought of someone walking through town with a pistol on their hip, handgun training could help make people realize that a gun is just a gun; no more dangerous, really, than a kitchen knife could be, or even someone's fist. Dr. Piazza has been encouraging Americans for years to receive firearms training so that guns aren't scary.
